We just love the melt-in-your-mouth deep green leaves of Bloomsdale, full of deep mineral succulence at any stage from baby leaf to full-size leaves. All spinach grows best in cool temperatures and Bloomsdale is exceptional, easily surviving uncovered in our gardens each winter. This variety was introduced by the Landreth company in Philadelphia in 1826. Also known as "Bloomsdale Long Standing."
