Also known as "black choke cherry", black aronia is a deciduous native shrub that grows 3' to 6' tall, producing dark purple berries that can feed birds or be processed into delicious jams and jellies. The leaves turn a brilliant spectrum of red in the fall. Can be planted in full sun or partial shade and tolerates a variety of soils.
